Does anyone know about international transfers to Europe from
American Big 4 firms?
My gf is of German descent, and while I'm not yet versed in the
language, I'd love the opportunity to transfer full-time to Germany, or
perhaps France or England.
I know all the Big 4 have programs, but are they only temp
assignments? Do I have to be the best of the best? How many years
would I need to work to transfer?

Not sure about other big4, but PwC has a fairly good global mobility program. You can apply for transfer/secondment to basically anywhere in the world. X) Typically you would need to be an experienced senior associate, 3-4 years experience. Transfer means you are not going back to America, while secondment means after 2-3 years abroad, you will have 2-3 years bond with your sponsor firm, so you have to go back to America after 2-3 years. And language skills is definitely important, i think it'd be easier for you to get in to England than France/Germany.
