I went to the 2nd round interview at NYC office of Deloitte last week, and I got the summer mentor program offer instead of internship. During the pre-dinner interview session ,they briefly mentioned about mentor program, but still I need more information on this. I googled it, but I cannot find any information about this. Does some one know about Deloitte summer mentor program? It said that there would be 4 or 5 formal session and candidates will be formally evaluated, and then full time or internship may be offered. I wonder what are the chances of getting an offer after finishing the mentor program. I know that internship leads to FT 99%, but wonders how many changes Mentor program has. Also, please tell me how they evaluate the candidates. I think formal session would be somewhat workshop or social events. Do they just see the personality? What are the keys to success in mentro program? Thank you! This is my last hope, please share your experiences with me.

The mentorship program is usually a couple of days that you shadow an associate at the firm.  Generally the chances are the same as to those with an intership except you don't get paid in the summer :).  My starting classs a few years back had a few people who did the mentoring program.  It tends to get offered to those candinates who the firm is interested in but could not fit in the intership.  As the summer is slow time, there tends to not be so much to do for an intern.

Good luck

Thank you for the reply MrCPAGuy. Are you currently working for Deloitte now? I heard 99% of interns are getting full time offer after the internship program, you mean mentor program would have 99% of chances to get a full-time offer? Do you know what speficif activities do in each session for mentor program, and how do they evaluate candidates?

Thank you MrCPAGuy.
