Yes Becker material is good enough. Make sure you solve all the questions available on the CD. Studying for Audit is not time consuming but you will get a better understanding of the subject once you start solving problems. Flash cards make revision easier (last minute revision). But if you take good notes when studying through the book, the cost for flash cards can be avoided.
I would say 2 months is a good time to prepare for Audit provided you spend at leat 3/4 hours every day.
Good luck with your studies.

I am currently taking the Becker CPA Auditing class online. They provided me with the book and the lecture CDs. For those who also have used Becker, are the book and the CDs sufficient or would you recommend me to purchase more study materials (i.e. flash cards, etc.)? Also, is a 2-month time period for studying per subject sufficient or should I speed it up? I don't have any practical experience, but I got my bachelors in Accounting from DeVry last year, and am currently finishing up my Masters in Accounting and Financial Management from Keller Graduate School. Your suggestions will be appreciated :) |
