I graduated 7 years back and I did sit for the CPA exam but I didn't pass any sections. I took the exam without any review classes.

I have reached a point where I really want to get my CPA license. This time around I want to enroll in a review session because I have been out of touch for a long time & my last experience doesn't give me much confidence.

I can't afford Becker as I have to pay the course myself.

Should I take whole package from one place or is it better to mix & match. What do most ppl do?

From what I have read so far:
Roger videos are the best but they don't have option of enrolling just for the video lectures.
Bisk books are very easy to understand but got negative reviews abt their software. How are their online lectures?
Gleim MCQ software got good reviews but their books were not rated well. Does Gleim software also have simulation examples? How's their online lectures?

If mix & match is the way to go then I thought this would be good option - Bisk books, Gleim software… can someone give which video lectures are the best.

Is CPAExcel/Yaeger any good?

I need a teacher so I m looking for a course with a good video lectures.

I would recommend CPAExcel-self-study/Yaeger and Gleim MCQ. Since, you graduated 7 years back; some materials may seem new to you. Yaeger lecture does pretty good job. Then go over CPAExcel program and finally Gleim MCQ's. If you can commit yourself, should have no problem in passing all four sections in first sitting.

Are u recommending me to take both full Yaeger & CPA Excel programs? That would cost too much...

Why do u recommend CPA Excel, what's good abt them?

Maforu,

The reason we do not allow students to purchase just the video lectures with our course is because Roger writes his own books as well and they are meant to work off of each other. Since what he goes over in the lectures is exactly what is in his book, all the information works in sync.

If you would like to discuss your options further (we can talk about books and such), please e-mail us (e-mail is in my profile) and we can go over in a little more detail.

Regardless of which review course you go with, best of luck to you!

That is a good recommendation.  There is no perfect review course.  I am familiar with Yaeger and Gleim.  However, I am unfamiliar with CPAexcel.  What did you like about CPAexcel?  Which CPAexcel course do you recommend?

I have found out that it does not pay to be cheap with these CPA reviews.  I am mixing and matching for each CPA exam section.  There is no such thing as a perfect review course for all four sections.  I will pay whatever it costs to become more efficient and effective in preparing for these exams.
