I have one more section to take on the exam (FAR).  I recently order the section study material and it came with a brand new course cd.  My current CD doens't expire until May of next year.  Can I selll this CD? WIll someone be able to use it? It is unopened and contains the serial number, but if it was purchased by someone would they need any extra info to register and use it?

If you're using Becker, their license agreement prohibits you from transferring the course material to anyone else.  You bought a license to use their material; you did not get ownership of it.

I am not familiar with the license agreement terms for the other companies.  Those may or may not be transferrable.

Technically, no you cannot sell it because Becker issues you a one-year non-transferable license.  That isn't to say that if you go on ebay that people don't sell them (and for quite a bit of money too), but you could technically get in trouble for it if you were caught.

This information should usually be available in the terms and conditions for your particular review course (that thing you checked that you read and understood when you ordered that you probably didn't read). If you are unclear, the best thing to do would be to contact the company directly to see what their policy is just in case.

In many instances, the software is not transferable or salable. If it is intellectual property of the company you got it from, this can get you in even more trouble.

Check with them to be sure. Just my $0.02 (and for the record, if our company is any indication, review courses watch Craigslist/Ebay/Amazon carefully for reselling of course materials so you may want to reconsider before putting it up on any of those sites if that is not allowed).
