Hey Guys,

So just wondering what everyone thinks of Phil teaching Reg?? I read around the board and it seems like he teaches all parts of Reg, if I am not mistaken?

I have used Yaeger for Bec and LOVED Cindy. I had Bec 2010 and Phil taught the first section, Business Structure and he was not good at all. I was bored out of my mind. Compared to Cindy he blows. But I am willing to take another shot with him if he has gotten better.

Any thoughts or advice would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks! =)

I have no complaints with him.  I thought he did a good job with REG.  I don't see why some are so hard on him.

Phil does read quite a bit from the book, but when it comes to something important, he does a good job at elaborating. Though, I strongly disagree with his advice about doing only his questions. The best way to prepare for REG is buy the Gleim software and do lots and lots of questions.

Cindy is good. She's a bit of a fast talker and does rely heavily on the book, but she explains things well and is EXCELLENT in going over multiple choice questions.

Gary is the most organized and best lecturer out of the 3, IMHO. He's the least energetic though, which is why some may have a problem with him, but he knows his stuff well, his lectures are well prepared and is very good in explaining things in his own words rather than relying on the book. However, I'm not crazy about the way he goes over the multiple choice questions. Most of the time, he just reads the questions and just spits out the answer with little to no explanations.

Now, I'm not knocking any of these instructors. They all have their pros and cons, but overall, they're all good in their own way.

In my opinion, I think all three instructors are great. I have only taken FAR and AUD at this point so I can not speak for REG and BEC. However, I have been able to spend a lot of time viewing each instructor and I believe each has his/her strong and weak points as CPA#1 mentioned.

From what I have seen Phil breaks things down as thoroughly as possible from point A to B. Cindy is a bit fast when you first view her lectures, but I got used to her. She does a great job at explaining difficult concepts and emphasizing key points. I wish Gary would do a little more than skim over the book and handouts then do MCQ, but he is a great instructor. He emphasizes key points well and his approach to identifying key words in AUD MCQ was very helpful for me during the exam.

I think Phil will do a great job in REG and I am not a bit concerned about whether I chose the right instructor to lead me through this exam.

BF CPA - You've got it right.  All the Yaeger instructors lead you thru the material.  It's up to yourself to learn it.  I'm working with Phil now on the REG section, and he's doing a good job.  I appreciate the updates available on the Yaeger website.
