No, after a lot of back and forth I finally gave up and went back to the 2011 version. I was able to find out through Roger CPA that for a Mac, the required version of Java requires at least Snow Leopard. I'm running Leopard and had no interest in spending $ for the upgrade for just this one purpose.
I was able to run the 2012 sims on my PC and I liked them a little better than the 2011 version - there were a lot more of them and they seemed to be more on-topic. One major issue I had with 2011 was there are not very many sims and the ones that would pop up were almost always off-topic. (I would specify a topic, say, Government, and sims would pop up for inventory, just as an example.) On the other hand, on practice exams the 2011 version allows you to re-do just the incorrect questions, which I found incredibly helpful. 2012 does not have this functionality (or if it does, it is well hidden).
On the whole I think Wiley's books are excellent but both their software and online applications have been consistently buggy. Coupled with their tech support not opening on Sundays until 4pm, it's not the best experience - but it's certainly a lot better than flipping back and forth in the book!
Good luck!!! I took FAR on 2/7 and am in waiting mode....
