Can anyone tell me what it's like in public acctg? What do you like and dislike? How much autonomy does one have in public acctg? Can anyone compare mid-sized firms vs. a small firm?

To me public accounting is more dynamic and I like it better. I used to work in private companies. In private, everything is so repetitive & unchallenging. I was so bored and hated my life there. Then I got my degree and now working at a small firm. I like the work I do very much, it's very challenging and everyday is a little bit different. But in general I prefer bigger firms over small - resources are limited here and times like now there is NOTHING to do but study for the exam during work, and also there is lack of training.
