It's basically a fancy salesman job. Your entire salary is commission based. No different than being a used car salesman or a realtor. I went to a seminar with MetLife back when I was thinking of becoming a FSA but decided against it because I stink at selling things and would starve to death.

I gave the job a shot. It did not work out. If you have nothing to lose and don't mind acting like a salesman, give it a try.
There was a financial advisor post floating around awhile ago. That may have some good insights.
