I've worked as an accountant for 24 years. From 2005-2011, I worked in non-for-profit accounting. My job ended in August 2011. I want to go back to working for a "C" Corporation. (The poor economy has ruined the non-for-profit companies in the state in which I live.)

I am constantly upgrading my skills. For example, in 2011, I became an Accredited Business Accountant (ABA) and an Accredited Tax Preparer (ATP). Since 2001, I've been a Certified Buisness Manager (CBM).

Just keep on networking and apply for all jobs for which you are qualified and that are in your travel range.

In addition, upgrade your experience in accounting software systems.
