I would like to hear from you guys who have failed FAR and passed the second time around.... this is my question/background:

I started studying for AUD (started Lec 2 today) I feel a bit confident with AUD because there is no much calculations and I have been an auditor all my life (I did high 60's on mcq's just by reading thru it in A1)...

Should I stop AUD and start FAR right away the rest of March and entire April to test on Apr/30?    Then I will leave AUD for May-30 (I will study all month of May for AUD?

....  OR should I just study FAR forever until May-30 and forget AUD alltogether for next window?   Full time job plus two kids!!

Advices are very welcome .. I am in pain with that 70.. but I want to be positive..    thank you,

I would continue with AUD and take it APR 30. I think it's possible to study for AUD in 4 weeks. That's what I did and passed the first time and have never done audit in my life. It was also my least favorite subject in school. I would just put FAR out of mind for now. Just my opinion..

thanks Lcpa2009 ... you may be right perhaps I should put FAR away for now .. I am just afraid to forget things, right after the exam I felt I knew everything and all confusion disappeared...

Have you passed a section yet?

If the clock has not started ticking, go back to FAR.  FAR covers the most material and it takes the most time to prepare for it.  AUD is the easist exam and it does not take as long to prepare for it; therefore, I would save AUD for last.  The 18 month window goes by quickly.  Pass FAR before the clock starts ticking.

However, if you have already passed an exam, the clock is ticking.  There is no time to lose.  Continue with AUD, take the exam, and move on to FAR immediately after taking the AUD exam.

No Jerry this was my first section / experience with cpa exam ever!!

I plan re-take in April but I want take AUD as well. I have one AUD lecture down out of five (Becker).   I feel confident with AUD but I hate FAR and I want it OUT of my way... I am sure I will pass next time, I can feel it :) ...
