Hey guys,
I am scheduled for FAR on Jan 15 2010, this is my first cpa test and due to the holidays i cut back on studying which i now regret.... i feel i forgot everything :-( Im using becker regular course and becker final review and flashcards. The flashcards help memorizing the neumonics but i feel soo pressured and re-scheduling is not an option for me since my NTS will expire in April and in Feb im taking BEC. i completely read and did MC's for F1-F3 on the becker cd and i have completed the final review book and some MC's. I feel comfortable with mostly everything except bonds and leases.... any tips if i should continue preparing from the final review or should i complete F4-F9 on the regular book instead? i will take the becker finals this saturday just to check were im at. i usually score around 60 % on MC's......sooo nervous to think we cant use an actual calculator... and simulations are tricky for me... any help is appreciated.. has anyone actually benefited from becker flashcards? thanks

When in April does your NTS expire? How much time can you devote to studying? I would definitely go through F4-F9. Do you really expect to pass the exam with covering only 1/3 of the material? If you do you are a genius or extremely blessed!!

Cali, I used both Becker regular course and the Becker Final Review. You
need to complete all the chapters in the Becker regular course especially
chapters 2 - 7. I used Becker Final Review to recap and identify the weak
points.
I think you should consider rescheduling later in JAN if you cant get all the
chapters completed prior to taking FAR.

Thanks for the response. I will complete 1 chapter per day to finish f4-
f9 and then I will do the final on the final review. This plan sounds
intense but it's my only option at this point . I tried rescheduling but
there's no open dates prior to the expiration and since there is a
closed window in between that also interfere. Any advice if
my current plan sounds realistic? In far exam is there more
computations than other types of q's ? Thanks

CaliCPA87, yes your plan is realistic. It will be challenging, but it is definitely achievable.
