Hi,

Do you think marking questions for review effect the results in anyway...I gave FAR on May 29 and marked questions for which I wasnt sure....does that effect?

Pls share your knowledge about this....

99.99999999999999% sure it doesn't affect it.  It's just a tool for you to keep track of things.  There are plenty of reasons to skip over a question, let's say it's a long one and you want to ensure you're keeping good time.  You can also ask that about the calculator...if you don't use it, do you get bonus marks?  Don't think so.  Doesn't make sense, this is a professional exam, they want to gauge your knowledge...marking a question isn't conclusive on whether you are making a guess or not.  If that becomes a question, perhaps the amount of time that you spent on a particular question would come into play too.

Besides, there are other ways to adjust for guessing.  I guess that's one of the reasons why the pass rate might be 75%.  It's probably more objective to adjust the passing mark as a mechanism to weed out guessers.  Plus they're analyzing the score by statistical approach.  If there is no positive trend in your answers for a related group of questions i think they determine that you really are guessing and will be rated accordingly.

I was always supersticious to mark that I used the AICPA released questions.  I never looked at one, but didn't want to let them think I was too good for them.

I know it doesn't matter, but that's what I did.
