- MAKE YOUR OWN NOTES

- if you happen to fail, DO NOT get discouraged - stay positive.

- to save time, only do the Becker Final exams to clairify concepts, the passmaster MC's should be enough

- Becker sims are 'learning tools', not cheat sheets.

- stick to a schedule, and only take a week off after each exam attempt

- a study buddy is great, especially in the difficult times -- and you WILL have them

- understand the details, DO NOT MEMORIZE THEM.

- Exam order suggestion: REG, BEC, AUD then FAR; i spent the least time on FAR because i was really focused and determined to FINISH.

- do not take BEC lightly

- the sim memo's should be your first tab.

***  always remember, if it was easy, everyone would be CPA's

- good luck.

Congrats on passing and thanks for the advice.  I just took BEC and am starting to study for FAR now.  I set my exam date for FAR for August 27th.  Do you think thats enough time?

Each FAR section (9 in total) will take a solid 1.5 wks at the minimum, and you should give yourself at least 3 weeks to review.... I worked full time, so consistency was key.

That's a lot of time.

You should be fine for August 26th, BRAF. Just keep
chipping away and make sure to spend some time every 3
sections or so to do a brief review of the previous
sections.

BRAF,

Each FAR section for Becker should not necessarily take 1.5 weeks.

Becker themselves say 2 sections per week.  That's .5 week for each section.

I personally took about four days per section the first go around, then my final review took about 2.5 weeks in total (I took my time on this).

I started studying for FAR on May 3rd and took my exam on July 2nd.  I felt I had PLENTY of time.

That said, don't take it lightly.  Hit the books hard.  If you have time at the end, work multiple choice questions and do extra final review.
