Does anyone know what the breakdown of the chapters are for Becker - FAR from most important to least important? I know they give you the percentage breakout at the front of the book but I haven't had a chance to match that up by chapter and thought maybe someone already had the info handy. Thx

It's impossible to say.  I heard that Non Profit was only a small part of the exam from everyone.  One of my friends took it and said he only got 3 questions on it.  I felt ok going into the test because I really knew my leases, I/S, B/S, C/F and such, but barely anything on non profit.....

and of course.... probably 20% of my test was non profit.  I had a minor breakdown in the middle of the exam.  At one point I felt like every 3rd question was a Non profit.

I got 1 lease question and 1 I/S question, and another 20% it seemed on consolidations (aaahhhh!).  It was a terrible experience.

So its impossible to tell whats going to be on this test.  Best bet would be to talk to as many  people as you can who have already taken it in a particular testing window.  I found I got a very similiar test as a classmate of mine for AUD, but maybe I was just lucky.

I know it is impossible to know what is on the test. I'm trying to find out what Becker chapters are important based on the % guidelines that are listed on hte content specification outline.

For example, Reg tests heavily on corp and partnership tax and not as heavily on business law. So the becker chapters you would study would be ch. 4,3,2,5,6,7,1 (this is just an example). I've found this information for all the other sections in posts on this website but when I did a search I couldn't find it for FAR.

Yes, every exam is different but I'm looking at the general guidelines

It's going to be almost impossible to get that information for FAR. You're basically studying about 7 or 8 different concepts as opposed to REG where you're studying 2 (tax and law). The only thing I can say about FAR is don't get caught up in the details too much. Know it ALL but there's not much you need to know in great detail.

Oh, and as far as your breakdown on REG, I'd say it's completely wrong. I had as much law on my test as I had anything else. The only thing that tipped it more towards tax were the simulations. As you can see, everything is different and weighting chapters is going to be hard, if not impossible, on FAR.

All first try, all with Becker. It can be done.

Right on...i've been saying this too.  I think becuase of the breadth of the material covered in FAR, the difficulty is balanced out by a decreased depth of knowledge.  Just make sure you have your bases covered, but like poster above said, don't get hung up on details.  Don't worry about wieghting the chapters, as chances are, you're going to get the opposite proportions on the actual exam.
