I just took FAR today. It was totally brutal. I am very quick thinker and super at math, but with this exam I could barely fill in everything (not finish).

1st MCQ testlet was ok (not that OK as I expected to be), second one was just hard!!! 3rd one slightly better.

The sims (8 unrelated so called small sims which were not really small).

Actually I found the first "small" sim (just one of the four of sim testlet 1) was just like one big sim on Becker in terms of the amount of calculation and infor you have to read through. I couldnot have the time to come up with the right numbers on time, just put in something quickly.

I found the becker review did not cover some of the topics being tested (hopefully they are pre-test.)  and those becker said heavily tested ones just not big part of the exam, all questions are twisted (MCQ and Sims)

I believe the MCQ was no easier than any of the Becker passmaster MCQ, the two-line concept Q did not show up often, lots and lots of  calculations. Just hardly any easy points there.

It would be a miracle to pass it. and I know I am quite an exam writer and I studied hard on this, two months with twice lecture and twice MCQ and Sims (Becker). Accounting Major and  2+ years of Pubilic aco*removed*ing Exp.

God help us!

You never know how you did.  My friend think he fails and he got 97.  Since your test is compare with other taker.  The harder you feel, the more liekly other people are struggling too. On the other hand, if you feel easy, others are too.

I guess you have a good chance passsing. Goodluck.

Two things:

1. If it was as hard as you say, it will probably be curved pretty heavily.

2. If your result ends up being negative, and I truly hope it is not the case, don't let it define you as a person. We all understand the need to raise the bar in the professional arts but there is no logical reason to make it so hard for hard working people who simply want to get ahead to do it, except to generate retake fees for Prometric.

I took far feb 26.  My test center was opened during the snow.  I had alot of calculations also.  I thought the first testlet was not 2 bad.  However, I got some wrong.  The second testlet and third testlet took alot of time for me.  I guessed on alot of them bc I was not going to get them anyway.  Sims were okay.  I could not figure out what they wanted me 2 do.  I assume they were pretest.  Not 100 sure.  Random topics on sims and mc.  That is the beauty of this test.  The random topics that they test.  You need to know everything.  LOL  I probally failed.  However,  I tried my best with three weeks of review time.  However, it was my second attempt.
